ARTDECO review

Hello again,
So today I thought I would share my love of ARTDECO make-up. It is a recent discovery of mine although I had wanted to try it for a while, but never being able to get hold of it in store. However, when I went to a professional beauty event I was delighted that it had its own stand, and more so at the fact that it was being sold at trade prices! yippee! After trying out a couple of their products - and loving them! - I recently bought some more things on beauty bay's black Friday. Again, these were not to disappoint.
If you are not familiar with this brand, ARTDECO is Germany's leading cosmetic company. It is a high quality make-up brand that allows you to look and feel flawless. Being a new product in the UK, it has been used backstage on popular television shows such as Dancing On Ice. If it's good enough for celebrities, it's good enough for me!

Here is my little collection of ARTDECO goodies.
So the first thing I splashed out on buying was the ARTDECO Mineral Fluid Foundation, in the shade 25 beige rose. This RRP's at £33.00, which is definitely a high end price, but well worth the money I believe. This luxury foundation claims to be natural and silky, for a visibly even, glowing complexion. This description makes it sound like it would be a light-weight, low-coverage foundation, however it is far from that. This foundation definitely gives a medium to high coverage, which is great for a night out, or if you have imperfections that you want to cover. however, if its a very subtle foundation that you are after, this is not the one for you. Although, when its on it doesn't look cakey or like a mask, it does cover your skins natural pigmentations and imperfections which means the foundation is visible on the skin, but not to the extent of looking false and un-natural. This foundation is a complete winner in my books, as it makes my skin look flawless, which is definitely the aim most women desire to achieve.

My next purchase as this Mineral Baked Blusher in shade 28 - Noble silk rose. This RRP's at £16.25 on beautybay.com, which again is a high end price. "ARTDECO Mineral Baked Blusher is formulated with Minerals to accentuate the cheeks and temples. With a range of shades to suit any skin tone Mineral Baked Blusher contains Mineral Pigments that effectively creates wonderful accents on the cheeks and temples adding a healthy glow and hint of colour." [beautybay.com]
This product is AMAZING!!! I love it! This blusher is super pigmented so a little goes a long way (an added bonus considering the price!). It also has a very shimmery quality to it but definitely not glittery. This gives a very subtle highlight to the cheeks, making them appear youthful and glowing, great for the summer. I think this is more of a blusher for younger women, rather than mature ladies, as I have tried this product on older women and it seems to just accentuate any fine lines and wrinkles due to its shimmery qualities. Therefore, if you are slightly mature then you may want to opt for one of their matte shades.

A more recent discovery was this little Duo Glamour Eye shadow set. This 3 piece copper eye shadow set RRP's at £15.00, featuring 2 neutral eye shadows and a magnetic refillable palette. No.16 eye shadow is a classic pearly brown. No.29 is light beige, pale pearly nude. Both of these colours have excellent pigmentation and stay put all day long! This is an exclusive Christmas set so if you want it in your Christmas stocking this year you better act fast!
My next products are these gorgeous 'perfect colour lipsticks'. These retail at £10.25 each which is not too expensive for a high end brand. "These luxurious lipsticks are infused with Vitamin E to protect lips from lost moisture and has a deliciously creamy texture. Perfect Colour Lipstick gives an even coverage with long durability and leaves a luscious silky feeling on the lips." [beautybay.com]
I definitely agree with this statement as these lipsticks feel so nourishing on the lips, whilst offering a superb coverage, yet still feel silky smooth. No.99 is a dusky nude/pink with a little bit of shimmer. Whereas No.82 is a bold magenta which is a great way to add a pop of colour to your look. These lipsticks are super creamy so can be applied lightly to add a balm effect, or be applied intensely to give a vibrant pop of colour!
 Swatches of all listed products.

Introductions...

Hello world of blogging!
Oooh where to begin!? I feel like I'm talking to no one (well I probably am at this point) but I really wanted to say hi to the blogging family and hopefully there's a tiny corner for me here in the big wide world of blogs! (Don't worry I'm only small).
I've wanted to write a blog for a long time now as I need somewhere to store my creative thoughts in the fashion, make-up and interior design industries as I am obsessed with all three and often bore people crazy with my constant talk of the latest make-up craze, fashion trends and home décor ideas. So maybe I will bore a few of you with my obsessions, or maybe even inspire you with my artistic flare ;P (Haha I very much doubt that!)

Now for a little nosey into my life:

I live in the UK as a Make-up Artist, and particularly have a passion for the fashion and bridal sector of the make-up industry, although I am studying media make-up. I love being able to play around with make-up all day, making people look and feel amazing (or not so amazing when I'm turning them into a wicked witch!), and being able to work on so many different faces. Therefore, I hope in this blog that I can share with you my tips and tricks, as well as step by step tutorials to create your own theatrical character's or glamorous evening looks. As well as my passion for make-up, I am also inspired by fashion and interior design! I am always searching through magazines for new outfit ideas. I love all classic, glamorous clothes which is also a common interior theme throughout my house, all inspired by Audrey Hepburn. Oh wait another obsession! I best stop writing now as I have soooo many things that I am obsessed with! Maybe I will save them for another blog post?
